CINCINNATI - Angel's Rest Animal Sanctuary in New Richmond is looking for temporary homes for several dogs this holiday season. Even if you can only foster a dog for a day or or a week, it's beneficial to get the dogs out of the sanctuary setting.
Angel's Rest founder Perla Medina-Kinne says the program they call "Home for the Holidays" is a guilt-free way for someone to have a short term pet.
Many of the dogs are senior age or have terminal illnesses. So even if it's for a short time, you can have wagging tail and a cuddle partner for the holidays. "A lot of these dogs don't have a lot of time left. Just being in a home even if it's just for a day, it's a blessing to them," said Medina-Kinne.
